After graduation from ECPM in 2002, Anne Bodlenner did her PhD research on the synthesis of neamine dimers aiming at targeting HIV-1 RNA under the supervision of Pr. Patrick Pale.
Then, she moved to Graz, Austria to focus on biocatalysis in the group of Pr. Kurt Faber and pursued her interest in enzymes by working on the biosynthesis of triterpene derivatives (hopanoïds) in the laboratory of Pr. Michel Rohmer.
She was appointed in the Technical University Institute IUT Robert Schuman as Maître de Conférences in 2008.
She continued her research in Pr. M. Rohmer's group till 2011, and then joined the team of Pr. Philippe Compain, to develop new classes of iminosugars of biological and therapeutic interest. She is now responsible of tranfering skills in running bioassays to the PhD students of the laboratory.
